This large 1990s home sits on a lovely street in the pretty village of Ladner in Delta, BC. The home suits the family who live there, but the outdated, original finishes were not showing off it’s true potential. We stripped everything out and started with a fresh, clean, quiet palette that acts as a calm backdrop to the family’s busy schedule. Wide-plank white oak floors connect all the spaces, while all new, updated interior doors instantly modernized the whole main floor. The two-tone kitchen stayed soft and muted, with a subtle backsplash that wraps up and around the window. We chose a vintage inspired sconce instead of more upper cabinets beside the sink, to open up the room to the rest of the open concept living space.
